Even the best battery is only as good as its application and maintenance. A battery simply stores energy. All batteries gradually leak this stored energy.  If you haven’t cranked or used a battery for a long time, it may completely discharge. A discharged battery means that all of the energy stored has leaked out over time. A standard charger will not work at this point. A commercial charger may work, but isn’t a guarantee.

A battery that is severely discharged isn’t a bad battery, it’s a neglected battery. Manufacturer’s warranty doesn’t cover a discharged battery.

Crank it up and take it for a spin, you have to use it or you’ll lose it!
